You cannot be passive.

You cannot just sit at the feet of the master,
tugging at the grass, listening in awe.
This does not help the master further his aims.
He needs strong individuals, capable of surviving
out there in the big world. This is why as Gurdjieff
said, "sometimes you have to waggle a stick,
you know where!"
