Mr. Gurdjieff's pantry.

Mr. Gurdjieff would often start his day very early by going to the markets to shop.
Fresh ingredients were very important to him.
He bought exotic goods from the finest stores in Paris.
The pictures we have of his pantry, betray a well stocked and finely arranged gathering
of foodstuff that would make any shopkeeper proud.

It is interesting too that he held his private talks with individual students in his pantry,
with coffee from a thermos flask. We are talking of course about later in his life at
the Colonels Renard apartment.

Our physical and psychological being is always more relaxed and comfortable around
food. With the smells and exotic aromas, spices and herbs, and with the company of such
a special man, it must have been an experience of a lifetime.

How many times at a party, do we end up with a great conversation in the kitchen?
