Mr. John G. Bennett knew Mr. Gurdjieff from his time in the Middle East in the
early part of the last century. He felt that Mr. Gurdjieff had been initiated into the
fourth way in monasteries in Mongolia where the methods used were very brutal.
There are different ways within the fourth way, what is called the way of love, and the
way of blame, and the way of denial. Teachers from India or countries where the people
are more worshipful pursued the way of Love, gatherings in large marquees with hundreds
of followers, a more healing approach.
