Interesting question being raised about Si12, this site has a modern grasp on the work. There is a tendency to make it too intellectual sometimes. One of the Gurdjieff foundation members noted that after Mr. Gurdjieff's passing, his students put books on the shelves in his apartment to make him appear more intellectual. This was not the case, as he already lived the work, and was not in any way intellectually lacking, as evidenced by the books he wrote and those about him, such as Fragments of an Unknown Teaching by Ouspensky.
