Commitment to others

One thing that is very evident in the books about Gurdjieff,
is that he had a full time commitment to others.
From his writing of his books, his dinners, his teaching,
his dances, his meetings, private consultations over coffee,
or in his pantry, he kept himself surrounded with students
as much as possible.
This is the esoteric economy, he once commented that
with only four people at the table, it felt like there were too
few people to dine, he was used to twelve at least.
