The law of octaves shows that there are two points in a process
where progress becomes retarded. (slows down).
The world has moved quickly from the agricultural age, to the
age of the industrial revolution, Mr. Gurdjieff had the role to
bring the Fourth Way from a world of sheep and monasteries,
to the worlds sophisticated cosmopolitan cities.
He was a classic nineteenth century man, but he had the
ability to transform the work into the scientific presentation
of measurability and technical terms more suitable to the
early part of the twentieth century. No mean feat.
